Sennheiser HD650 Headphone Review (Audiophile’s Choice)

In this review I’ll explain why Sennheiser’s HD650 headphones are a great choice for Audiophiles and Mix Engineers. I’ll also tell you who should avoid these headphones.

These headphones sound incredible with a rich stereo field and incredible detail. The sound response is incredible for natural sounding music: classical, jazz, and rock. The low end response seems very realistic to me, but I don’t think it’s what you’d want if you mainly listened to music with a lot of low end, like trap or dubstep.

Additionally, the Sennheiser HD650s are not a good choice for people looking for portable headphones. The cable is too long (and it’s a quarter inch), it requires a headphone amp to sound good, and it lets sound out the sides.
