PSA S3000i and S3600 for me. I don’t think I’ll ever hit their peak wattage…nor would I want to.

Imabitch says:

BS, an 8 inch is gonna throw your rooms doors off.

Blesson Jacob says:

Great timing for me as I scout for a second sub. Q: do both the subs need to be identical?

Review the red home theater seats…

surfitlive says:

Now that you have told us how to choose the Right sub you NEED to make a video on *how to choose the LEFT sub* to match my Right sub.

Taffey Lewis says:

I have an m&k vx-7 mkii in my small office, its a throbbing…ahh thumping… sealed 8 incher.

Roberto Rodríguez says:

well, mine is a cheap, down-firing, ported 8″ sub in a 11′ x 22′ living room and it’s enough

Bob Smith says:

More wattage, better speaker dampening.

George Pantazis says:

Now, review those new Klipsches Zeos…

trapp88 says:

The hands going back and forth, and the head going the opposite way, ….I just about fell out of my chair!!!!!

@pplebite says:

It’s hairball season. Indeed.

Nanya Busi ness says:

2 properly placed subs (measure to verify) help a lot with evening out the response and make the bass tighter.
also sealed for music and separate eq/distance setting for each of them.

Bob Smith says:

I use KEF LS-50’s and a cheapie Acoustic Audio PSW-8 in my apartment. Works fine for music. https://www.amazon.com/Acoustic-Audio-PSW-8-Powered-Subwoofer/dp/B002AT94HE

105db hearing loss 10ft x 11ft x 6 ft room what do you think i need

scoobtoober29 says:

How about a sono tube sub to shake your bowels. Can you comment on sub-sonics and if they matter for a movie. I’m sure they could.

Megahertz Official says:

That’s the point. Right in the beginning. I had a subwoofer. And i changed about 10 rooms before i got it to work like i wanted. And now every subwoofer works fine in that room. It’s 32 feet by 19 feet. 10 meters by 6 meters. Yes it’s big, it’s my house’s attic, yes i go there to listen to music, it’s freezing in the winter, it’s extremely hot in summer, but it SOUNDS GREAT. And that’s what makes the bass go WOW. Below 35Hz, no resonatatin, no bass bumps, no nothing. In my small rooms, nothing, i mean nothing worked. Even a 5000$ speakers made bass bumps at some frequencies. The bigger the room, the better the sound.

davidgarrett0406 says:

Was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. My room is 12×15×9. I am going with rythmik based on the review Z did. I cant decide on one fvx15 or 2 lv12f.

Ilkka Timonen says:

Excellent, thank You !

Albert Huron says:

Albert Huron says:

amelia pereira silva says:

I desagree. I have an 8 inch sub (B&W 608) and it nicely complements my monitor speakers in music (my living room is about 31.000 square inches)

Lucas Clausen says:

“no one really knows how sound works” LOL

Quetzalcoalt says:

Z imagin this, i have a room that is 2.5 times bigger than yours (without the opening) and i have a single pb-1000, i cry. But i’m working on it!
Also you don’t shove money into svs , rhythmic or velodyne, if you are a bass head, you build stuff, like the Dayton 18 ultimax or the Stereo Integrity 18 or 24 inch drivers. Or even funk 24.

Brian Matthews says:

Elac Debut 2 Sub 3010 is an excellent 10″ powered sub. Sounds amazing for both music and movies.

Erik Niemi says:

Great Video, lots of good info for those who haven’t been sub crazy for years already 🙂 My 3 PSA 15’s agree with everything you said. If you are a bass nut like myself the Upper end Denon / Marantz receivers can tune 2 subs independently with Audyssey xt32. I think there are a few others now as well. SVS subs have a tuning app that seems pretty cool as well on their upper end units.

TheOneWhoLied says:

Will we ever see the Beyerdynamic DT100? ^^

Albert Huron says:

Can you OVER fill a room?

Jesús Régules Nova says:

Did you do a review for those Klipsch?

Sly foxxx says:

Rel t5i or svs sb 1000?

Note's Scrotes says:

Marie Kondo your apartment. Live simpler. Give me your stuff.

captain jimbob says:

How did you not get into sealed vs ported???
for a small office with two closed closets and a weird room crefice what sub should i get. and i have some cheap acustic dampening???

scoobtoober29 says:

What size if your room Thanks.

I look forward to crawling around soon. Almost ready to build out bare room.

Agravatedardvark says:

I have a two questions,

1. What constitutes as a small/normal/big room?

my room is

6′ 11″ H
13′ D
10′ 1″ W

or

2.01m H
3.96m D
3.01m W

this is a bedroom, so there’s a queen size bed and all of that stuff taking up space as well

my siting position is against the wall on the short side, so my speakers are firing into the long side of the room.

I’m looking for a sub that can handle whatever my speakers can’t handle in a 2.1 setup on my desk, mostly gaming, anime, and youtube videos, with a little bit of music thrown in (classic rock/hard rock/metal/Payday 2 Soundtrack) , currently have Micca MB42X powered by a JVC RX-5000V getting signal from my ODAC/O2 amp.

2nd question.

I’m new to the community, so my question is this: I power my miccas with the JVC listed above, I can find specs on it but I don’t know what I’m looking at quite yet, should I be upgrading my amp? I’d like something smaller anyway.

3rd question.

my listening volumes most of the time are very low, if I were to upgrade my speakers, which ones would work well at low volumes?

notagunfreak says:

Speakers, ofcourse matter because if you have some tiny 4 inch speakers, they cant keep up with like a pb 1k or other 300+ watt rms subs. Another thing that you said, about the sub size is also controversial. Because a high quality 18 will beat any 10 inch. Because a high quality subs have high xmax, good sensitivity and large cone area. 1 18 inch subwoofer that does 20 mm of xmax will produce the same spl as 5 18 inches that travel 2 mm xmax.
